Need to send your frame in for repair or refinishing? No problem.
We regularly receive carbon bike frames from across the UK and beyond.
Follow the steps below to ensure your frame arrives safely and securely.

PACKAGING YOUR FRAME FOR SHIPPING
Follow the simple steps below to prep your frame for transit.
1.
Strip it down.
Remove all components, unless otherwise agreed. Also remove anything that can fall out of your frame easily, because it will.
2.
Clean it.
Make sure to clean any mud, blood or debris from anything you send to us. Not only does it make it better for us to assess the damage, but it's more pleasant for our technicians.
3.
Find a box.
Your local bike shop should be able to help you out with an empty cardboard frame box, a children’s bike box or TV box is also usually the right size.
4.
Package it up safely.
A good rule of thumb is to send your frame to us packaged how you would like it returned, when it isn’t broken.
Make sure to add additional padding to the contact points, the parts of your frame that come into contact with the box. These are highlighted in the diagram.
SENDING A FULL BIKE?
Skip Step 1 above, and instead take a look at this GCN video.
It will walk you through the basics of preparing a full bike for shipping in a cardboard bike box.
Of course if you have a bike case, use that instead.
If your bike is fully internal - meaning your hoses and/or cables are routed through the inside of your bars and stem - you might also want to watch this video on removing integrated handlebars for packing.
Models vary but the principle is the same.

DO & DON'T
DO…Package the frame up well, especially at contact points where the frame might touch the inside of the box during transit.
DO…Use lightweight packaging such as crunched up newspaper to fill up the empty space in the box. This will stop your frame moving around.
DO…Put something between the drop-outs so they can’t be compressed. Your local bike shop should have these available for free, or you can use an old hub.
DO...Remove the pedals and bottle cages when shipping a full bike. Pop them into a smaller box inside the bike box to avoid them getting broken or damaging your bike in transit.
DON’T…Send us anything other than the part we’re repairing, unless we have specifically requested it.
DON’T…Use high-tack tapes to secure anything on your frame, it may damage the paintwork when removed. Use things like masking or electrical tape.
DON’T…Forget to put your contact details in or on the box so we know who it belongs to, include email and telephone number.
DON'T...Remove the back wheel when shipping a full bike. This will leave the chainrings and rear mech sitting on the floor of the box and they will get damaged in transit.
