Recreation of the drive-side rear dropout on an S-works Tarmac. There's no point just bonding the snapped piece back on as it will no longer be working with the rest of the frame and will fall off in no time at all. Around 80% of the entire dropout needs to first be removed and the new section re-created as part of the frame. By spreading the repair over a large surface area and ensuring the fibres realign with the surrounding area the new section becomes part of the frame again. We also have to take a lot of care ensuring the dropout is in exactly the same place as it was before, otherwise the wheel will be out of alignment.
