On arrival it was clear to see that the rear brake cable stop was pretty much completely corroded away. This happens quite a bit on older frames where aluminium inserts aren't insulated from the carbon allowing galvanic corrosion to set in. We carefully removed all the damaged carbon and aluminium, modified the design to take a different cable stop, insulated everything so it doesnt happen again, and finally sorted the paintwork out.
It would have been a real shame to have to scrap a modern classic like this!
