Being able to restore a classic frame like this Look Elite is a real pleasure.
It was Chris's first proper race bike and he'd had it hung up in its damaged state for quite a few years.
We were able to cut out the damaged section and remove from the alloy head tube lug.
We then recreated the missing section, grafted it into the existing carbon tube, and re-bonded into the lug. The scarfing method we implement in the carbon repair process is the same technique used in aerospace, and ensures the repair becomes part of the frame.
